SUMMARY:BMW Car Club Track Day Taupo Raceway
LOCATION:Taupo Raceway
DESCRIPTION:http://nzfsmotorsport.org.nz/event-147255\n\n \n Registration Form Registrations must be received by April 12. \n Hi there. \n \n Just a reminder that registrations for our annual Taupo Driver Training are due now. This is always an entertaining day\, with old skills to be polished up\, new skills to be learned\, and plenty of fun along the way. We ensure all skill levels are catered for\, without pressure or intimidation\, so that everyone comes away with improved car control skills and a greater awareness of hazards on the road. \n \n We return to the Taupo Race Track for another great day of Driver Training. This is not a race day\, but an opportunity to learn about your own driving abilities in a controlled environment – all levels of ability will be catered for.\n “Racing Ray” Williams will be the guest Instructor for this day. I am sure he will also have something to “say” at the prize giving dinner! \n The day at the track starts at 8.30am with registration & driver’s briefing.\n Entrance to the track is via Broadlands Rd (first on left after Centennial Dr)\n If you wish to do laps over 100 kmh in the afternoon\, you must wear close fitting\, cotton overalls & a helmet – please bring these with you. This is important as you will not be able to do these laps without this safety equipment\n Passengers will only be allowed in “Caged” race cars in the Over 100 kmh sessions\, wearing the appropriate personal protection (ie: helmet & overalls).\n Passengers will NOT be allowed in standard road cars in the Over 100 kmh session (with the exception of a BMW Car Club NZ Instructor)\n Lunch is BYO. There will be a caterer on site supplying food & drinks.\n We will be holding a dinner & prize-giving following the day at the Acacia Bay Hall. This is BYO wine & beer. \n Places are limited to only 50 cars\, so please register now to avoid disappointment (entries close on April 10th). \n Please use the form attached to register.\n \n If you have any queries please call Gerry Hodges on 0274 925 040 or at home on 09 424 1367\n
