This will cater for competitors who felt 12 hours was too long for them or their machinery! The 3 hour and 6 hour races have a minimum of only two drivers and there will be trophies awarded for these two category winners. However\, you do have to run the full 12 hours to win the prestigious class prizes.\n \n Remember the race will be televised on TV1.\n  \n Tony Quinn will head up the Australian contingent in his Porsche 997 RSR - Other cars entered are: Ford Focus V8\, Honda Civic R\, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 1/Evo 9\, Porsche GT3\, various Honda's and BMW's. The field was small\, but competition was fierce. Who would have believed a BMW 320 would take third place???\n \n This year the classes have been changed to reflect the current market range and while this puts some 2 litre cars into a class with tough competition\, the 2 litre cars can\, for a donation to Autism NZ Taupo Branch\, enter the 2 litre challenge. This group will have separate trophies and certificates awarded.\n   \n
